Property Division
While issues regarding children are oftentimes the most emotional part of a divorce, dividing the marital assets and debts can become very complex and contentious. Whether your case involves business interests, retirement assets, trusts, separate property, etc., the lawyers at Suazo Law will help you reach a fair property settlement.
Spousal Support
In Colorado alimony is called “maintenance.” That is, one spouse may be ordered to pay the other spouse “maintenance.” There is no predetermined formula that the will court will necessarily use in determining maintenance, as there is for child support. Therefore, determining the maintenance amount in a divorce is more than just a math problem. The attorneys at Suazo Law have helped clients going through a divorce calculate a fair maintenance amount.
Parenting Plans
In Colorado, the courts try to give both parents the ability to spend time with their children. Through a divorce, the Court will require that the parties create a parenting plan, based upon the best interests of the children. If you have children and are going through a divorce, Mr. Suazo and his team will work with you to protect your parental rights and to protect the best interest of your children.
